      Description

      Improved Throttle Response. This Stainless Works 1-5/8-Inch Shorty Headers for Side Exit Exhaust opens up the factory exhaust path by replacing restrictive manifolds with mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel primaries. The 1.625-inch tubes increase scavenging efficiency at lower RPMs, delivering stronger torque right off idle and sharper throttle response in everyday driving.

      Rugged, Corrosion-Resistant Construction. Each header features laser-cut flanges and precision TIG welds to withstand thermal cycling and road debris. The clear-coated heat shield on the collector reduces engine-bay heat soak, protecting nearby components and maintaining consistent performance.

      Installation. This product installs by unbolting the factory manifolds and loosely fitting the new headers into place, then tightening all flange bolts and connecting side-exit piping; basic hand tools and jack stands are all that’s required, with no cutting or welding.

      Application. These shorty headers fit 1963–1982 Corvette C2 and C3 models equipped with a small block V8 engine and side-exit exhaust configuration.
