      Q:  Will this in fact fit a 1985 corvette ? Is the crank pulley short enough to clear the steering rack?

      A: Yes! it will in fact fit both the 305(5.0) and 350 (5.7) small block engines for that year - and yes the crankshaft pulley should have enough space to clear the steering rack.
