      Description

      Electronic Ignition Upgrade. The PerTronix Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit replaces traditional mechanical points with a modern, maintenance-free ignition system designed to increase spark voltage. It enhances performance, fuel efficiency, and spark plug longevity by delivering a hotter and more accurate spark. The kit installs inside original distributors, maintaining the vehicle's classic appearance while providing improved ignition reliability.

      Construction and Appearance. Featuring durable epoxy-molded electronics, the module is protected against dirt, oil, grease, and moisture. Rotating cobalt magnets activate a Hall Effect integrated circuit, eliminating points and moving parts for long-lasting, consistent operation. The design integrates seamlessly within the original distributor for a clean and classic look.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling, allowing the Ignitor kit to bolt directly in place of the traditional points assembly. This ensures a factory stock appearance while enhancing ignition performance with minimal effort.

      Warranty. This product is covered by a two-year limited warranty, providing assurance of quality and reliability.

      Application. Specifically engineered to fit 55-58 V8 Corvette C1 engines equipped with mechanical advance located at the top of the distributor shaft and negative 12-volt polarity electrical systems.
