      Description

      Electronic Ignition Upgrade. The 1161 Ignitor Delco 6-cylinder Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit replaces mechanical breaker points with a durable electronic module that provides more consistent, reliable ignition performance. It improves coil output and spark delivery for increased horsepower, better fuel economy, and longer spark plug life. This kit is designed to fit into the original distributor, preserving the stock appearance while eliminating the maintenance issues associated with traditional points.

      Construction and Appearance. The module uses rotating cobalt magnets to activate a Hall Effect integrated circuit, eliminating points wear and timing drift. It is epoxy molded, making it highly resistant to contamination from dirt, oil, grease, and moisture. The kit is engineered to maintain stock distributor fitment and polarity, finished to ensure long-lasting durability in an automotive environment.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no special adjustments or modifications, fitting directly into the original distributor in place of the points assembly. No drilling or additional ignition boxes are needed, making it a user-friendly upgrade for restoration or performance enhancement projects.

      Warranty. This ignition conversion kit is backed by a 30-month warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
