Performance Distributor. The PerTronix Flame-Thrower Electronic Distributor with Magnetic Trigger and Slip Collar without Vacuum Advance; Male Terminals; Black is a high-precision ignition component designed to deliver accurate spark timing across a wide RPM range. It replaces outdated mechanical or electronic distributors to enhance ignition reliability and performance in your classic vehicle.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from precision CNC-machined aluminum housing featuring a polished finish, this distributor uses a steel shaft supported by upper ball bearings for stable operation. It incorporates a specialized reluctor made from lightweight FC-0208 alloy and an overmolded magnetic pickup coil that resists corrosion and maintains dimensional stability.
Installation. The installation process is straightforward and designed as a plug n’ play replacement requiring no drilling or modifications. Compatible with standard ignition harnesses via a Tyco Mate-N-Lok connector, it fits neatly into the original distributor location.
Warranty. This product includes a two-year limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
Application. Specifically engineered to fit 1957 through 1981 V8 Chevrolet Corvette models from the C1, C2, C3, and C4 generations. This model excludes any configurations requiring vacuum advance mechanisms.
