Description
Performance Exhaust Upgrade. The Hooker BlackHeart 2-1/8-Inch x 45-Inch Super Competition Long Tube Headers feature slip-fit sidemount collectors designed to enhance exhaust scavenging and velocity, improving horsepower and torque for early Corvette big block engines. These headers provide aggressive styling and optimized exhaust efficiency for classic racing and enthusiast applications.
Construction and Appearance. Made from lightweight, durable 18 gauge mild steel tubing with mandrel bends, these headers promote smooth exhaust flow. They are finished with a high heat resistant black paint for protection and an aggressive appearance. Machined 5/16-inch flanges and slip-fit collectors ensure a secure, leak-free seal.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with all required mounting hardware included. No drilling is needed. Motor mounts that locate the engine in its factory position are required for proper fit and clearance.
Application. These headers fit 1965-1974 Big Block V8 Corvettes (C2 & C3) equipped with 396, 427, or 454 cubic inch engines. They are intended for racing or off-road use and are not legal on emissions-controlled vehicles.
