      Description

      Purpose And Function. The Edelbrock 7788 Valley Cover; GM Gen III LS-Series No Knock Sensor Bosses is designed to replace the original valley cover plate on select LS1 and LS6 engines that have been converted from electronic fuel injection to carbureted systems. It eliminates unnecessary knock sensor bosses, improving compatibility for carbureted engine setups and providing a clean engine valley cover solution.

      Construction And Appearance. This part is manufactured using a sand casting process from aluminum, offering durability and lightweight properties. It comes in a natural aluminum finish, providing a clean, raw-metal appearance that fits well with performance engine builds.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skills and involves drilling and tapping the breather boss if retaining the stock LS6 breather setup or converting an LS1 to LS6 style. Proper tools and attention to detail are needed to ensure a secure fit.

      Warranty. This product carries a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects to ensure buyer confidence.

      Application. Fits 1997 to 2004 GM LS1 and LS6 engines and similar Gen III engines converted from EFI to carbureted setups. Not compatible with LS2, LS7, LSX, or any GM Gen IV engines due to design differences and sensor placements.
