      Description

      Premium Rear Bushing. The 17358 Rear Control Arm Bushing is designed specifically for 1980–1982 C3 Corvettes. This bushing restores proper suspension alignment and dampens unwanted chassis and road vibration, improving ride quality and handling. It plays a crucial role in maintaining rear control arm geometry and reducing tire wear.

      Construction And Appearance. The bushing is constructed from high-density rubber (with polyurethane or Delrin upgrade options available from aftermarket vendors). It features a steel shell and inner metal sleeve for durability and precise fitment. The finish is clean black rubber with corrosion-resistant shell treatment.

      Installation. Installation requires removal of the control arm and press-fitting the bushing into the arm socket. Special tools or a hydraulic press are strongly recommended—not a simple bolt-on job. Drilling out flared ends of the old sleeve may be needed for bushing removal, as noted in Corvette shop manual and forum guides.
