Air Conditioning Refrigerant Retrofit Kit, R134A

Enhanced Vintage Corvette Cooling. The Air Conditioning Refrigerant Retrofit Kit (R134A) allows owners of 1977–1987 Corvettes to convert their aging R‑12 A/C systems to modern, environmentally friendlier R‑134a. It includes all essential components—high‑ and low‑side port adapters, oil, and labels—for a complete retrofit. This conversion ensures continued cold air performance while complying with environmental regulations.

Construction and Appearance. Crafted with high-quality anodized aluminum fittings and compatible Schrader valve adapters, this kit also includes an 8oz PAG or ester oil cartridge and a highly visible retrofit label. The finish is durable, corrosion-resistant, and blends well under the hood.

Installation. Moderate mechanical proficiency required. You’ll need to remove the original R‑12 fittings and install the provided R‑134a adapters—drilling is not required. Follow with a vacuum pull, oil injection, and refrigerant charge per instructions.

Application. This Air Conditioning Refrigerant Retrofit Kit (R134A) fits Chevrolet Corvette, late 1977 to 1987.
