Description
1997-2013 C5 and C6 Corvette owners with automatic transmissions know the shifter cable can stop working. A loose or worn shift cable is visible when you transfer the gear shift from park to drive. The gear marking shows that the transmission is in one of the other gears, such as first gear, when it actually is in drive. Even worse, your Corvette may not start at all if its not engaging the linkage. All of this is likely due to a worn or damaged cable bushing.
