      Description

      High-Performance Rear Spring. The Composite Transverse Rear Leaf Spring is engineered to enhance suspension performance and ride quality for Corvettes from 1978-79. It replaces the original steel spring with a durable composite alternative designed to maintain the Corvette's renowned handling characteristics.

      Construction and Appearance. Constructed using patented composite materials based on TRW technology, the spring features a durable black finish that resists corrosion and fatigue. The composite design provides improved ride comfort without sacrificing strength or performance.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with all required mounting hardware included, such as bolts, nuts, cotter keys, rubber grommets, cups, washers, and a special heat shield. No drilling is typically needed as the spring mounts directly using existing bolt patterns designed for a 2.5" spring width.

      Application. Specifically designed for use on 1978-79 Corvette C3 models, excluding the 1978 Anniversary Edition which requires a different spring size and bolt configuration. Proper verification of bolt size and spring width is essential before ordering to ensure compatibility.
