      This dogleg-shaped door auxiliary weatherstrip section is a vital part of your Corvette's overall water sealing system. It acts as a gutter to channel water through the bottom of the door and away from your car. GM originally used molded rubber for this door auxiliary weatherstrip material. As one of the toughest areas to seal, the original rubber worked well, but was susceptible to deterioration from ozone and the weather, often splitting and cracking. Now you can replace your Corvette's door auxiliary weatherstrip with a great reproduction part. Besides doing an outstanding job of sealing, like the original, this door auxiliary weatherstrip is made from a modern, long-lasting synthetic rubber called ethylene propylene diene monomer or EPDM.
