      Description

      High Performance Headers. The Flowmaster Scavenger Series Elite Shorty 409S Headers improve engine efficiency, throttle response, and power by replacing restrictive factory manifolds. Designed specifically for Chevrolet small block Gen I engines, these headers offer an excellent upgrade for performance enthusiasts seeking enhanced exhaust flow and overall engine output.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from durable 409S stainless steel, these headers feature a high-temperature ceramic coating that provides long-lasting corrosion resistance and an attractive silver finish. The 16-gauge tubing combined with 3/8-inch thick laser-cut flanges ensures a precise fit and structural integrity.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with included gaskets and mounting hardware; no drilling is required. Some Corvette applications may require additional alternator mounting brackets. These headers fit vehicles without air injection systems only.

      Warranty. This product includes a limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

      Application. Specifically designed to fit 1957 to 1974 Corvette C1, C2, and C3 models equipped with Chevrolet 327 or 350 cubic inch V8 engines. This shorty, block hugger style header with a universal center dump is intended for use on vehicles without air injection. Fitment excludes models equipped with air injection systems.
