    Description

    This quality metal shim set is the best, and most permanent solution to make your steering box work like new. They fit between the housing and the cover of the worm gear. Because of variations in original castings it is necessary to shim this area during final assembly. Included are:

    • 1 brass shim of thickness 0,002"
    • 1 copper shim of 0,004"
    • 4 aluminium shims of 0,008"

    If you have never attempted this type of repair before it might be a good idea to enlist the help of an experienced person for safety's sake. As with any steering repair, you will also want to get an alignment after it's all back together.
