Description

Performance Exhaust Headers. The Flowmaster 1-3/4 Primary Long Tube Headers 1967-1974 enhance engine efficiency and power by replacing restrictive factory manifolds with optimized long tube headers. These headers improve throttle response and increase overall engine performance, making them ideal for enthusiasts seeking maximum output from their big block engines.

Construction and Appearance. Crafted from 16-gauge stainless steel, these headers feature a high-temperature silver ceramic coating that provides durability and corrosion resistance. The headers include heavy 3/8-inch thick flanges and employ Flowmaster’s ball and socket 3-inch collector connections for a secure and leak-free fit with a high gloss finish.

Installation. Designed for an easy fit with included gaskets and hardware, these headers do not require drilling for installation. Proper engine mounts and big block frame stands are necessary to ensure correct engine location and header fitment on 1967-1974 Camaro big block engines. Note that transmission and steering combinations may affect fitment.

Application. Fits 1967-1974 Big Block V8 Camaro, Chevelle, El Camino, Chevy II/Nova, and Monte Carlo models equipped with 396-502 BBC engines. These headers do not accommodate Powerglide transmissions or column shift automatic transmissions in Camaro. They require big block frame stands and motor mounts for proper alignment.
