Description
Noise And Vibration Control. The Boom Mat Vibration Dampening Material; 6 Sheets is designed to reduce noise, vibrations, squeaks, and rattles produced by automotive components such as roads, stereos, and engines. It improves vehicle acoustics by damping vibrations in interior panels, resulting in a quieter and more comfortable interior environment.
Construction And Appearance. This premium damping material features a 4 mil thick aluminum top skin combined with an asphalt-free pure butyl layer that effectively constrains noise. Each sheet measures approximately 2 square feet with a 2mm thickness, providing sufficient rigidity to stiffen panels. The surface finish is durable and engineered to maintain high performance even under extreme temperatures.
Installation. Installation is simple and efficient, featuring a plastic release liner that peels off easily without tearing like paper backings. No special tools or drilling are needed, and minimal surface preparation is required.
