Our Stage 1 A/C Performance Upgrade Kit is the essential solution if you are looking to replace your original compressor with an upgraded rotary style compressor.
INCLUDED:
Rotary Compressor & Clutch Assembly
Compressor Mount Kit designed for a stock Chevy V8 engines with the compressor mounted on the right (passenger) side and a short water pump
Suction Hose (from evaporator/VIR outlet to compressor inlet)*
Discharge Hose (from compressor outlet to condenser inlet)*
VIR Eliminator Kit
O-ring/Oil Tube Kit
Installation Instructions
BENEFITS/FEATURES:
Affordable alternative to replacing individual parts.
Eliminates shaft seal leak problems associated with the stock compressor.
Simplifies conversion from the old R12 to newer 134a. (For more information on converting to 134a, click here.)
Reduce horsepower draw.
Reduce weight.
Continuous duty rating of 6,000 RPM.NOTE 1:
Hoses supplied with one end open, along with the corresponding fitting and crimping instructions. Your local a/c shop can provide crimping services, or we can provide the crimping service for an additional fee.
Instructions for both options will be included.
NOTE 2:
This kit was used on some early model 1977 models. If your car is equipped with an accumulator/orifice tube setup instead of a VIR (Valves-In-Receiver), please see our part #23-234.
