      Features, Description, Q&A

      Features

      • Quality Reproduction Part
      • Voltage-Dropping Resistor Type

      • Ecklers Legacy Number: 64-29516
      • Macs Legacy Number: B7A-12250-AR

      Description

If your T-Bird cranks and starts, but immediately shuts off after releasing the key, the ignition voltage dropping resistor is failing. The resistor is not in the cranking circuit. Once the engine is started, and the key is released, the resistor is in the circuit. If it is burned out, voltage to the distributor will be discontinued. This correct reproduction has improved internals over the original which are able to move slightly when shaken. Even if your original resistor is working this is a good part to keep on hand as they can fail without warning.
