Description
PRODUCT OVERVIEW Installing QA1's spring slider for the 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird (F-body) significantly upgrades the front end for improved handling and track performance. The spring slider assembly utilizes QA1 lower control arms and the tubular QA1 K-member to retain the factory inboard spring locations, provide adjustable ride height, and allow for use of wide wheels and more substantial negative camber adjustments. This setup maximizes the tire contact patch during hard cornering, although it may present clearance issues with wider wheels. INCREASED TIRE CLEARANCE Some build preferences benefit from a coilover strut assembly, but if you need the heaviest spring rates and want to achieve the highest level of negative camber, the spring slider is a great solution. By keeping the springs in the inboard location, we can use the strength of the frame and lower control arm to support very heavy spring rates for the most aggressive handling applications. Pair this with QA1 struts and caster/camber plates to achieve maximum negative camber for the best handling performance. FITMENT NOTES Requires QA1 K member Requires QA1 pro touring lower control arms This is not a shock absorber. Requires the use of a strut for alignment and dampening
