VRS-4150 Calibration Kit
Complete tuning kit for VRS-4150 race & performance carburetors
Over 130 precision-machined parts — all jets and components manufactured in the USA.
Overview
The VRS-4150 Calibration Kit gives racers, engine builders, and enthusiasts a comprehensive selection of jets, bleeds, power valves, and squirters required to precisely tune VRS-4150 carburetors for any application. Whether you’re dialing in an engine for the track or optimizing a street/strip build, this kit supplies the most commonly needed parts in one convenient package.
What's Included (high level)
- Main fuel jets: 4 of each even-numbered size from 62 → 78 (62, 64, 66, ..., 78) for broad main-jet adjustments
- Power valves: 2 of each 4-window power valve in 5.5″ Hg, 6.5″ Hg, and 7.5″ Hg ratings for tuning power enrichment points
- 6-32 metering jets: 44 jets packaged in sets of four — for fine adjustments to idle, intermediate, and power circuits on metering blocks
- 10-32 air bleed jets: 40 bleed jets in sets of four — quick access to top-of-carb main/intermediate/idle bleed tuning
- Acceleration squirters: .033, .035, and .040 squirters to tune acceleration pump shot duration and volume
- Assorted hardware & seals: precision fasteners, O-rings and small parts required for complete calibration (brass jets, precision-machined components)
- Total parts: Over 130 precision-machined components
h2 Key Benefits
- Comprehensive coverage — most commonly needed jets, bleeds, and power valves included so you can tune without repeated orders.
- Precision performance — all jets are CNC-machined brass for accurate sizing and consistent flow.
- Made in the USA — jets and critical components manufactured domestically for quality and traceability.
- Optimized for VRS-4150 — specifically selected sizes and quantities to suit race and high-performance street applications.
- Convenience — organized kit reduces downtime when tuning and testing different calibrations.
Typical Uses
- Baseline and final tuning of VRS-4150 carburetors for engines used in drag, road-race, oval, and high-performance street applications.
- Seasonal or altitude compensations — quick main-jet and bleed swaps for changing conditions.
- Shop and track support — a single kit for engine builders and tuners to support multiple customers and builds.
Tuning Notes & Best Practices
- Start with a conservative main jet and work up while monitoring AFRs and engine response.
- Use the included air bleed and metering jets to refine part-throttle and transition behavior before large main-jet changes.
- When changing power valves, verify the vacuum/venturi signal and enrichment onset with observed drivability under load.
- Acceleration squirter selection affects shot duration — smaller sizes for shorter, crisper shots; larger sizes for richer, longer-duration shots.
- Always replace seals/O-rings removed during tuning and torque metering components to factory recommendations.
Technical & Compatibility
Designed for VRS series 4150-pattern carburetors. Verify compatibility and metering block thread size before use. For installation, tuning guidance, and recommended starting jets for specific engine combinations, consult the VRS-4150 tuning guide or contact technical support.
Ordering & Support: Contact your VRS dealer or the manufacturer for part numbers, kit packaging options, and availability. Keep a record of original jet sizes when testing changes so you can quickly revert if needed.
