The Edelbrock 7788 Valley Cover; GM Gen III LS-Series No Knock Sensor Bosses is designed to replace the stock valley cover on GM LS1 and LS6 engines that have been converted from electronic fuel injection (EFI) to carbureted systems. This part eliminates the unnecessary knock sensor bosses present on the original design, optimizing compatibility with carbureted conversions and enhancing engine bay aesthetics and functionality.

      Construction And Appearance. Manufactured using a sand cast process, this valley cover plate is fabricated from aluminum, providing both lightweight strength and durability. The natural aluminum finish offers a clean, classic look and allows for easy customization or polishing according to customer preference.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward, with the part designed to directly replace the stock valley cover. Users retaining or converting to the LS-6 breather setup will require drilling and tapping of the breather boss. Overall, installation demands moderate mechanical skill.
