      Description

      Premium Performance Flywheel. The Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel is a lightweight replacement designed to improve throttle response and acceleration by reducing the rotational mass of classic Chevy V8 engines. This flywheel enhances engine performance by allowing the engine to spin up faster, making it ideal for performance and racing applications.

      Construction and Appearance. Crafted from high-grade billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T3 aluminum, this flywheel features a precision-machined body for superior tensile strength and heat dissipation. It includes a replaceable friction plate and a hardened 1050 steel ring gear, ensuring durability and longevity under high-stress conditions.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling required since it bolts directly to the engine. Designed for enthusiasts with moderate mechanical skills, the bolt-on friction plate allows easy maintenance without replacing the entire flywheel.

      Application. Specifically engineered for 1967 to 1986 V8 Camaro models. For engines equipped with 502 cubic inch displacement, a special balance plate (part #625021) is required. Compatible with both 10.4 inch and 11 inch clutch patterns. For 383 engines, an alternate balance plate (part #624001) must be used to ensure proper fitment.
