Description
Whether from becoming loose or broken due to metal fatigue, your 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, or 1981 Camaro's clutch return spring may need to be replaced. The clutch spring has two purposes in your F-Body, which are to assist in counter-acting the spring tensions in the pressure plate diaphragm when you depress the clutch pedal, and to act as a return spring and hold the clutch pedal against the stop whne the pedal is not depressed so that the throwout bearing is not resting on the diaphragm fingers. Without this spring, you would feel a difference in the use of your clutch, and you should get it replaced as soon as possible.
