Description
Whether you are hearing unwanted rattling vibrations from your transmission, or you're starting to experience clutch failure, chances are that you are in great need of a new flywheel bellhousing dust cover plate for your 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, or 1979 Nova with an 11" clutch. Without a dust cover inspection plate or with one that is very worn down, your ring gear is exposed to constant dirt and road debris. Over time, debris and other objects can clog up your flywheel and clutch area, causing premature clutch failure. Clutch failure in your Chevrolet can be reported from a feeling of "slipping," where the clutch does not fully engage or disengage.
