Description
High-Performance Brake System. The Baer SS4+ Rear Big Brake Kit with 13-Inch Rotors and Hugger Orange Calipers is engineered to deliver exceptional braking power and durability for rear axles. This kit enhances stopping performance, ensuring improved safety and control for performance vehicles during aggressive driving or track conditions.
Construction and Appearance. The calipers are CNC machined from US-sourced forged or billet aluminum and finished with a corrosion-resistant powder coat. Hard anodized aluminum pistons with stainless steel abutments and noise suppression clips reduce noise and increase longevity. The vented two-piece rotors are zinc-plated with slots and drilled patterns and feature billet aluminum hats to improve heat dissipation and overall rotor performance.
Installation. This kit is designed for a direct bolt-on upgrade that replaces stock components without any drilling or modifications. All necessary hardware, including stainless braided D.O.T approved brake hoses, is included for a straightforward installation process requiring moderate mechanical skill.
Application. Specifically designed to fit 1982-1992 Firebird models equipped with the original equipment Saginaw 10-Bolt C-Clip rear axle and OE drum brake housing ends. The system is compatible with the stock rear end and drum brake configuration, providing a seamless upgrade without modification.
