Description
High Torque Starter. The Powermaster Ultra Torque Starter delivers over 250 Ft. Lb. of cranking torque, designed for 66-77 Ford V8 engines with 3- or 4-speed manual transmissions. It is rated for up to 18:1 compression, providing reliable starting power for demanding engine builds and performance vehicles.
_x000D_Construction and Appearance. Featuring a billet aluminum mounting block, this starter combines durable construction with a lightweight design and a premium finish to ensure long-lasting performance and resistance to wear.
_x000D_Installation. Installation is designed to directly replace OEM starters with extended noses, typically eliminating the need for modifications or drilling when proper depth measurements are confirmed before installation.
_x000D_Application. Compatible with 289 and 302 engine configurations equipped with manual transmissions using a 164-tooth ring gear, usually for 3-speed and 4-speed transmissions. It replaces OEM starters that have approximately a 2-inch extension beyond the mounting surface, with proper measurement recommended to ensure fitment.
