The Powermaster Ultra High Torque Starter, 289-351W With Automatic Or 5-Speed delivers exceptional cranking power with up to 200 lbs.-ft. of torque, making it ideal for engines with compression ratios up to 18:1. It ensures reliable starts and improved engine performance, crucial for high-compression V8 engines.

      Construction and Appearance. This starter features a durable billet aluminum mounting block equipped with a unique infiCLOCK 360-degree rotation adjustable mount. Its encapsulated solenoid design protects against heat soak and hot start problems, while the natural finish provides a classic, uncoated appearance.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and typically requires no modifications or drilling. The starter replaces OEM units with a 2-3/8 inch nose extension and is designed to clear most oil pans and headers for hassle-free fitment.

      Application. Specifically engineered to fit the 66-77 Bronco, this starter accommodates automatic transmissions using 157 or 164 tooth ring gears, as well as manual transmissions with 157 tooth ring gears (usually 5-speeds).
