      Description

      O2 Sensor Functionality. The O2 Oxygen Sensor, located on the downstream or upstream passenger side, is an essential emission control component that measures oxygen content in exhaust gases. It provides critical feedback to the vehicle’s computer to optimize the fuel mixture, improving engine performance, fuel economy, and reducing harmful emissions. Depending on the exhaust system design, this sensor is positioned before (upstream) or after (downstream) the catalytic converter.

This sensor features a durable threaded steel body with a thimble-style sensing element made of double-layered 310S stainless steel, offering superior resistance to moisture and debris. It is heated to ensure rapid response times and reliable performance. The sensor includes a wiring harness approximately 9.45 inches long and is equipped with a 4-pin female connector utilizing pressure contact terminals.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling or modifications. The sensor threads directly into the exhaust system in place of the old sensor and connects via the OEM wiring harness for a direct fit replacement.
