Description
The vented gas cap on the 1969 and 1970 Firebird is designed to vent air into the tank line via a one way pressure valve. When tank psi reaches a certain point, the valve opens to relieve some of the pressure. This keeps harmful gas fumes inside the tank and minimizes the risk of fuel blow back when you remove the cap. A new vented gas cap from Eckler's Firebird is a small step toward making your 1969 or 1970 Firebird's fuel system more environmentally friendly.
