Firebird Electronic Distributor Conversion Kit, PerTronix Ignitor, 1967-1974

Say goodbye to the old-fashioned, temperamental breaker points & condenser when you convert your Firebird's distributor to modern electronic operation. These Ignitor components install in place of the points and use a simple two-wire hook-up. Everything is contained within the original cap, it never requires adjustment and there's a huge improvement in ignition dwell accuracy. This conversion works with any ignition coil, but we recommend the chrome case PerTronix Flame-Thrower coil, for 40,000 volts of power and a dressed-up look.
Note: Once the ignition switch is turned on, it takes four seconds to charge the electronic pick-up before starting the engine.
