They use an ABS skin molded to high tech soft flexible foam that has a much better resiliency than the older semi-rigid offerings that are common on the market. The defroster openings are formed, and the speaker holes are pre-drilled. Mounting studs are formed into the ABS plastic substrate on the bottom of the pad.
