    Description

    Design. The Tuffy Super Security Storage Trunk is a tough 16-gauge steel container that bolts to the floor behind the rear seat. The trunk has a storage capacity of 2 cubic feet and measures 34 x 11.5 x 9.75 inches. It weighs 35 pounds. The exterior is coated in extra tough, powder-coat paint, which resists scratching and corrosive chemicals, and weatherproofs the steel against rust. The removable storage tray is 9 x 6 x 3 inches.

    Storage Benefits. This lockable trunk keeps valuables of many different kinds safe, including clothing, car tools, sports or outdoor equipment, cameras, supplies, and so on. The 2 high-quality steel latches also keep the lid firmly closed when the trunk is unlocked, to keep items from bouncing out.

    Application. This Tuffy product is started by applying rubber seals to the lid. Installation continues by marking the spots where the four bolts will be mounted, removing the carpet at these points and drilling through the metal with a 3/8 inch drill bit. Bolts are installed in the holes, and silicone sealant is applied. Finally, the trunk is mounted onto the bolts using the included nylock nuts.
