Description
When using a rear main seal in this application, you must remove pin in main bearing cap. In general, the rope type was the original type rear main seal and should not be soaked in oil before installation. The split-lip type is a neoprene type replacement rear main seal and should be lightly lubricated with engine oil prior to installation.
