Description
This exact reproduction starter heat shield is one of those detail items that is something judges look for, and has a lot of practical value. The radiant heat from a running 429 can really take its toll on a starter, so that's why Ford developed a shield in the first place. Over the years most were lost when the starter was removed. An original shield was used as a basis for this extremely nice replacement. It works only with factory-style starters. We're happy to finally have this solution to a long-standing problem.
