Description
This tool allows for easier and safer door hinge spring removal and installation. It is simple to use too. It has to be opened up to the length of the spring, inserted in the coils, then snugged down using a 1/2" open end or ratcheting box wrench. It holds the compressed spring while you rebuild your hinges, then you just reverse the process for installation. Of course like any spring, there is the potential for injury if you aren't very careful. Make sure you wear protective glasses and gloves, and don't hurry. While the spring is inside make sure it is placed in a secure location so no damage is done should the spring escape.
