Description
This universal window ribbon sealer, aka butyl tape, is 3/8" in diameter and 15' long. It should be used whenever a windshield or rear glass is replaced in something with the "pinchweld" type of glass channel which has clip-on trim. With proper installation no other sealers are needed for a leak-free job.
Helpful tips: Apply this tape to the very edge of the glass, then set the glass in place rather than putting it on the body first. Many have tried this only to find that the glass doesn't touch the butyl tape all the way around. It is also highly recommended that you have at least one helper when the glass is put in place.
