      Rear Disc Brake Upgrade. The LEED Brakes Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit with vented rotors and zinc plated calipers is designed to upgrade your Chevrolet or GMC K1500 truck from rear drum brakes to more efficient rear disc brakes. This kit is engineered for direct bolt-on installation to the factory rear axle, enhancing braking performance and reliability while providing modern disc brake benefits for older vehicles.

      Construction and Appearance. The kit includes an 11.65-inch cast iron vented brake rotor and a heavy duty 54mm single-piston caliper manufactured from cast iron. Both the calipers and mounting brackets are finished with bright zinc plating that offers strong corrosion resistance and delivers a clean, professional appearance suitable for truck enthusiasts and professionals alike.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward, requiring no drilling as the kit bolts directly to the original rear axle flange. The flexible one-piece mounting bracket design allows caliper positioning in three different orientations to accommodate aftermarket suspension or frame modifications for optimal clearance.

      Application. This rear disc brake conversion kit fits Chevrolet and GMC K1500 trucks manufactured between 1988 and 1999 equipped with 11-inch rear drum brakes. It is not compatible with Corporate 14 Bolt rear axles.
