Description

Hydraulic Brake Assist Unit. The Hydratech Braking Systems Optional Power Steering Line Set for Hydraulic Brake Assist Unit features a hydraulic boost system compatible with power steering setups. It facilitates connection between the power steering pump and rack and pinion, supporting brake assistance functionality.

Construction and Appearance. This unit includes a precision CNC machined T6 billet aluminum firewall mounting plate for durability and exact fitment. The overlength hoses have reusable and rebuildable ends, designed for longevity and ease of maintenance, and are engineered to integrate with early Mustang master cylinders.

Installation. Designed as a direct fit firewall mounting plate, the unit installs without requiring firewall modifications. The installation process is straightforward and compatible with vehicles equipped with factory Midland vacuum boosters.

Application. This hydraulic brake assist unit is engineered for 1967-1970 Mustang and 1967-1968 Mercury Cougar vehicles equipped with Midland vacuum boosters and power brakes. It is not suitable for use with four-wheel drum brakes, BOSS 429 models, or late model overhead cam modular engines.
