Description
Mid-Length Exhaust Headers. The Shorty Exhaust Headers, Big Block, Hedman are engineered to enhance exhaust flow for big block engines. They provide improved horsepower and torque by replacing restrictive factory manifolds and are designed for direct-fit, mid-length applications without A.I.R. compatibility. The headers accommodate various automatic and manual transmission configurations as well as power steering setups for versatile installation options.
Construction and Appearance. Made from mild steel with a 16-gauge thickness, these headers feature a standard-duty, uncoated finish with temporary paint applied to prevent surface rust during shipping. They utilize a ball and socket style gasketless collector attachment to ensure a secure seal and facilitate ease of installation, maintaining the traditional round port shape consistent with stock cylinder heads.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and is designed as a straightforward bolt-on process without any drilling. All necessary hardware, including bolts, gaskets, reducers, and mounting hardware, is included to assist with installation.
Application. Exclusively fits 65-72 Biscayne; 65-74 Impala; 69-72 Kingswood.
