The Dual Exhaust System, Aluminized, 409ci High Performance, Wagon is designed to enhance engine efficiency and performance for vehicles equipped with factory cast iron headers. It is ideal for use with cast iron rear-dumping headers and features appropriately sized pipes to optimize exhaust flow. This system maximizes power output while maintaining a classic appearance and provides reliable exhaust routing.

Durable Construction And Finish. Manufactured with aluminized steel, this exhaust system offers excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. The kit includes stock mufflers and exhaust pipes sized at 2-1/2" for the main pipes and 2" for the tailpipes, delivering balanced performance and authentic sound quality. The two-piece tailpipe design features an expanded slip joint secured with an exhaust clamp for adaptable assembly.

Installation Ease. Installation requires basic mechanical skills and common hand tools; no drilling or special modifications are necessary. The system includes all necessary clamps for tailpipe connection, and the two-piece tailpipe design facilitates easier handling and fitting during installation.

Application. Specifically designed to fit 1962-1964 Chevrolet Biscayne and Impala models equipped with 409 engines featuring 2-4 barrel carburetors and factory cast iron headers that dump in the rear. Not compatible with cast iron manifolds that dump in the center, for which a different exhaust system (#73000) should be used.
