      Specialized Valley Cover. The Edelbrock 7788 Valley Cover; GM Gen III LS-Series No Knock Sensor Bosses is designed to replace the stock valley cover on GM LS1/LS6 and similar GM Gen III engines converted from EFI to carbureted setups. It eliminates unnecessary knock sensor bosses that are obsolete in carbureted engines, ensuring precise fitment and function for these specific engine builds.

      Construction and Appearance. This component is sand cast from aluminum providing durability and a natural aluminum finish that offers both function and a clean aesthetic under the hood. The cover plate includes a breather boss that must be drilled and tapped by users maintaining the LS-6 breather setup or converting LS-1 configurations.

      Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skills. It involves removing the existing valley cover and may require drilling and tapping the breather boss area depending on the setup. Proper care should be taken to ensure breather alignment is maintained or adapted correctly during installation.
