      Description

      Electronic Ignition Upgrade. The Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit, Ignitor, 6-Cylinder, 49-62 provides a modern replacement for original mechanical points in classic Delco distributors, delivering improved spark energy and timing consistency. This kit enhances engine performance and reliability by eliminating point wear and bounce, making it an essential upgrade for restoring or maintaining vintage vehicles.

      Robust Construction. This kit features a Hall Effect sensor activated by rotating cobalt magnets enclosed in an epoxy-molded housing, which resists dirt, oil, grease, and moisture intrusion. The durable materials and sealed design ensure long-lasting, maintenance-free operation within the original distributor housing.

      Installation Simplicity. Designed for easy install, the kit bolts directly into the distributor in place of the points assembly with no drilling required. It retains the original distributor’s mechanical advance system and preserves the stock appearance without the need for an additional ignition box.

      Warranty Coverage. Comes with a two-year limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use.

      Application. Specifically designed to fit 1949-1952 Fleetline, Styleline Deluxe, and Styleline Special models equipped with OE Delco 6-cylinder distributors having negative 12-volt polarity. Note: Does not fit distributor number 1112314. Suitable for automotive, marine, industrial, and agricultural applications requiring a replacement for mechanical breaker points.
