Description
This Chevy trunk (deck) lid is a exact reproduction of the original. There's no need to repair your rusty or damaged original when you can install a brand new, perfect fitting piece. This deck lid is made from the correct gauge steel and includes all of the correct bends, brackets and folds. Original rust-free classic Chevy sheetmetal is quickly becoming a thing of the past, and 1957 deck lids have been very hard to find for many years. This lid requires the use of the 1955-56 style glue-in weatherstrip as the inner skin does not have pre-drilled clip holes. Some owners have even installed 1955-56 trunk lids on their 1957's, which is not correct. The lower trunk bumper bracket locations are slightly different on the 1955-56 lids as well as the holes for the rear emblems and license pl
