The Boom Mat Vibration Dampening Material; 6 Sheets is engineered to dramatically reduce noise, vibrations, squeaks, and rattles originating from roads, engines, stereos, and more. Designed for commercial and sound competition applications, this material improves acoustic comfort by trapping noise between its specially engineered layers. It is applied to interior panels to stop vibration-generated noise and enhance overall sound quality.

Construction and Appearance. This damping material features a thick, 4 mil aluminum stiffening top skin bonded to a pure, asphalt-free butyl noise constraining layer. The result is a 2mm thick, flexible sheet that resists tearing and performs reliably in extreme temperature environments. The finish includes a smooth aluminum exterior with a peel-away plastic release liner for easy application.

Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires minimal preparation, with no drilling necessary. The adhesive backing provides a no-snag application on any interior surface, including vertical and overhead areas, saving time and effort during the process.
