Classic Lighting Solution. This Tail Light and Turn Signal Bulb for 12-Volt systems provides essential illumination for vintage cars and pickups manufactured between 1933 and 1955, including the 1955 Thunderbird. It is recommended for tail light applications as well as parking light turn signals on vehicles from 1942 to 1955. Note that front parking light turn signals were optional before 1949, and a different bulb is used in parking lights without the turn signal option.
Construction and Appearance. The bulb is an incandescent type featuring a clear glass design with offset pins and a double contact base to ensure proper fit and contact within the vehicle’s socket. It operates at 12 volts and produces between 3 and 32 candlepower.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no special tools or modifications. The bulb fits directly into the existing socket for quick and easy replacement. Some vehicles from 1933 to 1937 may use an inline bulb configuration; ensure compatibility before installation.
Application. This bulb fits a wide range of cars and pickups from 1933 to 1955, including 48-55 F1, F-100, F2, F-250, F3, F-350, and F4 models, as well as the 1955 Thunderbird. It supports both tail light and turn signal functions in these vehicles.
