      Description

      This new harmonic balancer is for your 1970-74 351C Q-code Cobra Jet. Balancers are key components to avoiding cracks in the crankshaft and other engine failures. Original equipment balancers used a nitrile rubber dampening medium between the inertia ring and the outer ring. This rubber breaks down over time, and in doing so reduces the effectiveness of the dampener to cancel out damaging engine harmonics. The cost of a new one is relatively low, especially when compared with the damage possible via a faulty harmonic balancer.
