      Description

Original Factory Style Firewall Insulator insulator for Chevy and GMC Trucks. Molded to fit the stock engine setback hump. Ready to install.

General Motors built the 1947-53 Chevrolet and GMC trucks at multiple plants around the United States. While the size and shape of the cowl and Firewall Insulator setback hump remain consistent, the location of several holes varies from year to year and plant to plant. This page illustrates the hole configurations that are typically used. What to look for:
1--The wirebundle pass through hole moves in and out from the edged of the firewall insulator.
2--The notches on the top of the firewall insulator are different.
3--The three holes to the upper left of the hump change layout.
