Malibu Blower Fan Switch, 1979-1983

Murphy’s Law… you hop in your prized Chevelle or Malibu on a freezing day, or if you have AC, a super hot day, and fire up your baby. You go to adjust the cabin temperature and……nothing happens. You slap your dash and belt out a few obscenities or something like that. It could be your blower motor, or the wiring, but most likely it’s the blower motor switch. This little electo-mechanical device allows current to flow to the blower motor to warm or cool your interior or defrost your windows. Over time, the contacts wear and switch begins to fail.
