Product Overview. The Hushmat Sound Deadening and Insulation Kit with Silver Foil for Trunk applications is designed to reduce road noise, vibrations, and heat transfer in a vehicle’s trunk area. Construction and Appearance. The kit features a proprietary butyl rubber compound with a silver aluminum foil backing that provides durability and heat resistance up to 550°F. The material is flexible and moldable to facilitate installation on irregular trunk surfaces.
