Edelbrock part #2161-BP Performer 2-O intake manifold is designed for street 396-502 c.i.d. big-block Chevy V8's using general duty oval-port cylinder heads. The PN 2161-BPP version comes with a beautiful reflective Black Plasma finish that is durable and easy to maintain. The Plasma finishes are applied by a fully automated 7 stage prewash and 4 stage finish. A durable clear powder coat finishes the process. Will not fit under hood of Corvette without hood modifications. Will not fit "tall block" V8's. May be used with OEM or aftermarket carbs. Will fit 1965-90 oval port heads. Edelbrock's Patented Dual-plane, low-rise design with a 180-degree firing order greatly improves torque over a wide rpm range for excellent throttle response from off-idle through 5500rpm. This Performer intake manifold is ideal for passenger cars, trucks, 4x4s, tow vehicles and RVs.

Installation NotesRecommended intake gasket: Edelbrock #7203.; Use Edelbrock #8028 waterneck adapter for 86 and later.; Edelbrock choke plate #8961 included.; Manifold height: A-4.300", B-5.400"; Carb pad height: 4.85"; Carb recommendations: Stock 4-Bbl use choke rod #9179 if needed, Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series 600-800cfm. Use bracket #8031 for 1972-78.; Port exit dimensions: 1.70"w x 1.68"; Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant #1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS.; Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.
